Henry W. Schacht is the founder of DCM. Currently, he serves as the firm’s President and Chief Investment Officer.
Mr. Schacht holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University Of Chicago Graduate School of Business with concentrations in finance, accounting, and economics. The Chicago GSB is one of the world’s most respected business schools.
Mr. Schacht completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Finance and Business Economics and a minor in Theology.
Mr. Schacht has earned and maintained the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). This global designation is issued to investment professionals who complete a rigorous program of study and extensive examination. Charter holders are required to have demonstrated experience in the investment field and must agree to abide by a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional conduct.
Prior to forming DCM, Mr. Schacht held positions in security analysis and portfolio management. As an analyst, he performed fundamental research across industries. As a portfolio manager, Mr. Schacht has managed accounts for a range of clients, including corporate/personal retirement plans, individual custody accounts, and institutional/endowment funds.
Mr. Schacht is a member of CFA Institute and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago (IASC).
